Bay and Bow Windows

Bay and bow windows first achieved widespread popularity in the 1870s. Bow windows first appeared in the eighteenth century in the United Kingdom, and in the Federal period in the United States. A famous bow windows is in London and it belongs to White’s Club, in St, James Street. These windows are often associated with Victorian architecture and were a part of the Gothic Revival style.
